Love for brogues

Yellooooooo….(eh yes thats how I say hello when on a Coffee high). Ergh!! coffee on the keyboard. But my Tuesday needed it. After a little viral flu scare last week, back in the game.

I have always been drawn to androgynous fashion, and  these shoes help style that kind of a look a lot more easily.   I see it as a basic, an essential, like a pair of ballerinas. A good pair of brogues feel like sneakers just more classy, thats how comfortable they are. They  can make any boring outfit stand out. I went for a more subdued pair playing it safe , but Shwetha’s  is a more, out there statement piece.

The shirt seems familiar? yeah it’s from our previous post “melange”. The classic white shirt what can I say. Teamed it with a jacket. Fun fact, at least 3 people on the street complimented me on it while clicking these pictures. And why I say fun fact you ask? It’s because I bought this one from Max fashion for  499 Rupees. Yup…………………….take a couple of seconds to digest that. Teamed this with my basic black skinny jeans. Somehow the dark lipstick seemed to tie this outfit together.

By now you all know how much we love fusion in fashion. I styled my very quirky Ajio brogues with a simple cotton dress. This beautiful block print dress in teal had all my attention when I first saw it. I loved the button down detailing on the dress and to give the dress some structure I added this super cool double buckle Tan belt from Stalk Buy Love. I completed my look with teal Jhumkas that I got from a flea market a long time ago in Delhi and ofcourse our new obsession the kumudh nose pin. I also wore this big mirror ring which tied up the whole outfit together.

This look is so quirky yet so wearable. I absolutely how this outfit turned out and the fact that with all that quirk its still super classy. To add more sass to this outfit you could add a bindi and really transform the look. Dont be afraid to go the unconventional way, these small elements add great character to an outfit.
