The Pink Dress

Rains are here and Hyderabad looks green and lovely. I took this opportunity and styled a bright kurta to make my gloomy days shine a bit. Keep reading to see how I make a simple kurta look like a fab dress 🙂

I am a clothes hoarder.I am constantly buying clothes and always looking for ways to restyle them so I can wear them again and look cool 😎 Also, I dont believe in playing by the rules – who said you cant wear a kurta like a dress? Today I show you how I style my Kurta as a dress ☺️

I bought this kurta from Jabong only because I loved how awesome the design was. The kurta has no slits and has these pinched up corners which gives the kurta great dimension. This design detail really caught my eye, it gave this simple kurta so much edge without being loud. Like I said I hate playing by the rules so I styled this kurta with my Ginger brogues which I got for a steal at lifestyle stores.  I kept my accessories pretty simple because I wanted the kurta to stand out. I paired the outfit with some dainty danglers and my Micheal Kors watch.

(Pro Tip: Stitch the side slits on your kurta to make it into a dress, style it with a skinny or broad belt – Voila new dress)

I love how this outfit turned out to look. Its simple but stands out as a statement. When you are styling simple outfits and really want them to stand out try a cool hairstyle. Here I parted my hair to side; rolled one side into three sections and pinned them at the back of my head. Simple!

(Pro Tip: Simple hairstyles make you look put together, take time to play around with your hair and watch your look transform dramatically)

I hope this blog story gave you some inspiration to recycle your kurtas into dresses. 🙂 Hope you have a great day ahead !!
